Community Support

The Westervelt Company has a long history of social responsibility through its support of nonprofit organizations by providing financial contributions, in-kind services and volunteer support. We have a Charitable Contribution Policy that ensures all Company donations, sponsorships, company volunteer activities, and in-kind services are coordinated and aligned with our corporate social responsibility strategy and business goals.

All requests must meet certain guidelines, including:

  • Only 501(c)(3) nonprofit organizations are eligible;
  • Our primary areas of focus on civic outreach, education and environmental/stewardship projects.

There are projects that will not be considered, including the following:

  • Organizations that discriminate;
  • Third party fundraising organizations;
  • Religious organizations, other than for community programs (such as a food pantry);
  • Sport teams requests (sponsorship);
  • Individual schools, other than through Adopt A School programs;
  • Supporting political candidates or campaigns;
  • Capital campaigns.
