Soybeans lower on non-threatening weather (09/09/09)

Soybeans were modestly lower on fund selling and profit taking. Outside markets looked supportive but weren’t much of a factor for soybeans. The dollar did make a new low on the year while the Dow Jones Industrial Average was up around 50 points and crude oil was modestly higher. Crop weather looks non-threatening over the near term, at least until late this month or early next month according to some forecasts, and this year’s crop is expected to be a new record.
