Tuscaloosa, Ala. -- August 22, 2018 – The Tuscaloosa Museum of Art, housed at The Westervelt Company headquarters building in Tuscaloosa, will close effective Friday, August 31.
03/30/18: The Westervelt Company Plans to Construct New Lumber Mill (The Westervelt Company)
The Westervelt Company is completing plans for expansion of its lumber manufacturing capacity in south Alabama. The new mill will complement the Company’s flagship lumber facility in Moundville, Ala.
04/05/17: The Westervelt Company Names New President and CEO (The Westervelt Company)
The Westervelt Company is pleased to announce Brian Luoma as President and CEO, effective March 20, 2017. He will assume the role held by Mike Case, who recently announced his retirement after more than 32 years with the company. Brian will assume management and strategic planning responsibility for the land resource organization which includes Westervelt Lumber, Westervelt Renewable Energy, Westervelt Forest Resources, Westervelt Communities, Westervelt Ecological Services and Westervelt New Zealand.
10/07/15: ENDANGERED GIANT GARTER SNAKE PERMANENTLY PROTECTED BY WESTERVELT ECOLOGICAL SERVICES (Westervelt Ecological Services)
Grasslands Mitigation Bank (GRMB), an environmental project being developed by Westervelt Ecological Services, has been approved by state and federal natural resource agencies to restore Giant Garter snake (Thamnophis gigas) (GGS) habitat and seasonal wetlands on 281 acres in Merced County, California.
